Family Fun Day Sunday 30th May

Bayview's Annual Open Day is this Sunday from 11.00am- 3.00pm.

The Club will be a hive of activity with lots to see and do for the little ones and those that are still young at heart. Jumping Castles & sweet treats to entertain the kids while you sample some Wines and enjoy live music. Lucky door prizes and the chance to win a Social membership.

Golfing and Social Memberships both on offer, take advantage of our Mad May membership special offering a heavily discounted Joining Fee.

Tiffany will be here to proudly display the fine talent that Bayview has coming through our Junior Golf programme and sign up interested young golfers.

Planning a celebration? Large or small / family or Corporate functions speak with Amy and Lexy who will happily answer all your questions and help organise your event.

Please Note;
The Peninsula A la carte restaurant will be closed on Sunday, the Bistro will be open for service. Bayview Staff are aware of the Clubs Dress Regs policy and are often called upon to enforce this. However to accommodate all guests who visit us on Sunday this policy will be relaxed to a degree.

Corporate Challange Cup

On Friday 21st May 13 teams competed for the Bayview Corporate Cup which will become a regular event. A warm thank you to the teams from:

E & A Lawyers -2 teams
Australian Bakels- 2 teams
Mortgage Professionals
Cawoods Solicitors
Bayview Beach Real Estate
Finn Foster Insurance
Bendigo Bank
Greg Johnson and Associates Accountants
Tasco
Peninsula Communications

Members are encouraged to support these companies who throw their weight behind Bayview Golf Club.

The event was a resounding success and will grow in future years. Players had the "privilege" to be the first groups to hit off the new first tee. A pretty tough long par 4 to start the round. I was very pleased to hear many positive comments on the condition and presentation of the course and our special thanks go to "Duffy" and the team for a job well done.

The winning team and holder of the Bayview Corporate Challenge Cup was the team from TASCO who generously donated back their prizes which were Bushnell Range Finders ironically given as prizes by TASCO. These were auctioned and the money raised will go towards completion of the pond on the 18th. To top off their day Kevin Johnson GM won the individual with 42 points.

Glenn Lovelace, Bayview Golf Club member, ran a wine tasting prior to lunch on behalf of Windowrie Wines. These beautiful wines, which complemented the first class lunch prepared by our caterers Ryan and Amy , are now available on the Bayview wine list try them – I'm sure you'll be impressed.

All in all a terrific day and something to build on for future events.

Bob Orth
President

1st June Changes – Reminder

From the 1st June Members will be required to use their swipe card (Golflink or Membership card) to enter the timesheet & score entry kiosks.

This change has been brought in following concerns raised that some Members were booking more than one group. By swiping your card to enter the system each Member will only be permitted to enter one group onto each timesheet.

Also from 1st June Members will be required to swipe their membership card at the Point of Sale to obtain the Members discount price on food & beverages. This will ensure only Members are receiving the discounted pricing structure. If you have had difficulties when swiping your membership card at the bar please come to administration and we will happily replace it with a new one.

Phone bookings: from June 1st the office and golf shop will not be permitted to take phone bookings prior to 12noon on the day the timesheet comes out.

This is to bring phone bookings into line with internet bookings.
